Ask Me about Health Literacy

Ask Me is a Gold Coast Health initiative to let people know about Health Literacy. We want you to ask us questions about your health and healthcare.


Your time in hospital

We are committed to providing world-class healthcare and and to making your stay with us as comfortable as possible.


Leaving Hospital

We will work with you to plan your return home after your stay in hospital. This will help to ensure that you have everything you need for a full recovery when you leave us.

Your rights and responsibilities

As our patient, you not only have the right to safe and high quality health care, but also to be treated with respect, dignity and be included in all decisions and choices about your care.


Referrals and bookings

As a public health provider, most of services are offered free of charge to people with a Medicare card. However, you will often need a written referral from your general practitioner (GP) before we can book you in.
