Gold Coast Health has been recognised for meeting the highest standard of being inclusive of LGBTIQ+ people and communities by the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), being awarded Silver Employer Status at the 2024 and 2025 Australian LGBTIQ+ Inclusion Awards. AWEI is the definitive national benchmark on LGBTIQ+ workplace inclusion.

DisTinct Pathways Program (Disability Employment Program)
The DisTinct Pathways Program (DisTinct) provides entry level placement opportunities at Gold Coast Health for people living with a disability. The program offers a six month paid employment opportunity, working in various different areas of the health service. Particpation in the program aims to enable a progressive and disability confident culture that maximises the potential of diversity, diverse voices and ideas. DisTinct also allows our leaders and teams to embrace an inclusive workplace where there are equal employment opportunities and a workforce that reflects our community.
