Structure

Gold Coast Health is one of 16 hospital and health services (HHSs) in Queensland, statutory bodies that are responsible for delivering public health services to geographical areas of Queensland.

We are funded by the Queensland Government through a service agreement with the Queensland Department of Health.

Our Health Service Chief Executive, Mr Ron Calvert, reports to the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Board, who in turn reports to the Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services, the Honourable Shannon Fentiman.

Our Executive team includes the Health Service Chief Executive, Executive Directors, Professors, General Managers and Clinical Directors who are responsible for a service or a portfolio within Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
