Tropical Cyclone Alfred: The Bureau of Meteorology predicts damaging wind gusts and heavy to locally intense rainfall which may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding as Tropical Cyclone Alfred approaches and crosses the Queensland coast late Thursday/early Friday this week.
Gold Coast Health continues to monitor the situation and is taking necessary steps to prepare for and respond to the severe weather.

Catch-up immunisations

It’s easy to catch up on missed vaccinations. Please ensure the following details of person/people for a “catch up” vaccination are emailed to immuniseGC@health.qld.gov.au prior to attending the clinic:

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth 
  • Medicare Number (if known)
  • Any previous vaccine record (must clearly include the person’s name)
  • Contact phone number

A nurse from the Immunisation team will make contact prior to attending the clinic.

Refugees and other humanitarian entrants aged 20 years and older with no documented history of vaccination are eligible for the following vaccinations: diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, chickenpox, poliomyelitis, measles-mumps-rubella and hepatitis B.
