COVID-19 Change to Oral Health service information

General or routine dental appointments will not be seen by Gold Coast Oral Health, during our COVID-19 response. Emergencies will still be seen at the Robina Dental Clinic and people should contact the call centre on 1300 300 850 for assistance.

As of Monday, 23 March, the following changes will come into effect:

  • There will be no services provided at Gold Coast Schools
  • There will be no services provided from Southport Heath Precinct or Palm Beach dental Clinic
  • All routine and non-essential appointments will be stopped until further notice
  • Patients who are currently on the waiting list will remain on the waiting list and will be contacted for an appointment when services return to normal
  • Emergency only services will be provided from Robina Dental Clinic 
  • The public should contact Oral health Services on 1300 300 850 for emergency appointments or advice.

Appointment information

To make an appointment, phone the Gold Coast Oral Health Client Service Centre—a call centre for urgent and general public oral health services for eligible children, adolescents and adults in the Gold Coast region:

1300 300 850 Cost of a local call. Calls from mobiles may be charged at a higher rate. Please check with your service provider.

Our friendly staff will help you make an appointment at a time and location convenient to you. You can choose from a number of oral health clinics throughout the region.

What to bring

You should bring to all appointments:

  • your current concession cards
  • medicare card
  • photo identification
  • Authority to Care letter (if applicable)
  • details of any medication you are taking.

What will happen at the appointment?

A dental examination (check-up) including x-rays (if necessary) will be conducted for your child. 

Any treatment required will be discussed and consent from the Parent or Legal Guardian will be required before any further treatment is provided.
