Non-Clinical Internship Program

Our Learning Experience and Academic Placement (LEAP) program allows students who are studying non-clinical disciplines at tertiary institutions the opportunity to gain real-world experience in their desired field of study.

The LEAP Program consists of two intakes per year. Each intake is typically 1 day per week placement for 12 weeks:

  • Intake 1: March to May
  • Intake 2: September to December
Please Note: As the aim of this initiative is to provide a collaborative approach to experiential learning, all non-clinical placements must be organised in collaboration with your tertiary education provider.

The LEAP program offers a variety of work experience/Internship opportunities based on current programs and business requirements. Non-clinical placements are offered to students who are currently enrolled in a tertiary facility looking to gain short term work experience.

Applications for Intake 2 LEAP Program are now open

Gold Coast Health has 16 internships available for Intake 2. Applications close at Midnight on Sunday 12 July 2026.

Submit your application using the online application form. Please ensure you upload your current resume, cover letter (no more than 2 pages) and your academic transcript.
