At Gold Coast Health’s Adult and Older Persons Inpatient Mental Health Service, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where recovery begins. For individuals most impacted by mental illness and unable to be cared for in the community, we offer hospital-based care focused on hope, healing and empowerment
From admission, our team works collaboratively with consumers and their families to understand individual needs and recovery goals. Together, we develop a personalised care plan that may include therapeutic conversations, symptom management strategies and practical tools for daily living. Families receive education and guidance to feel confident and supported throughout the journey.
Recovery is more than treatment – it’s about building resilience and reconnecting with life. Our multidisciplinary team, supported by peer and carer support workers, ensures care is holistic and person-centred. By sharing lived experience and practical guidance, they provide hope and understanding for consumers and families alike. Strong partnerships with community services enable a smooth transition home and ongoing recovery support.
For those who prefer care in a familiar setting, our Mental Health Hospital in the Home program offers intensive support without the need for hospital admission, helping you continue your recovery in the comfort of your own environment.
