Respiratory Services

The Gold University Coast Hospital is a tertiary referral centre and patients requiring acute Respiratory and General Medical care are admitted to the Respiratory unit.

The Medical Respiratory Inpatient Unit (B5N) specialises in the management of acute respiratory and pulmonary conditions and cystic fibrosis. The unit provides Non Invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) with the ability to provide telemetry monitoring for all patients.

The Respiratory Unit works in close collaboration with Bronchoscopy service, The Lung Function Laboratory, The Respiratory Resource Centre including the Respiratory Liaison Nurse Practitioners and Cystic Fibrosis Nurse Practitioner, The Sleep Laboratory, The Intervention Suite and Endoscopy.
