What we do
The Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator (MMHC) program aims to increase cultural responsiveness of Gold Coast Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Services.
MMHC’s promote culturally responsive mental health care to patients and families by providing direct clinical consultation to clinicians who are working with consumers from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.
MMHCs also provide workforce training and development and partner with local communities and organisations to contribute to community education and prevention, promotion and early intervention initiatives.
While the MMHC does not provide interpreter services, they can support consumers and clinicians with information to access interpreter services.
Who can access this service?
