Who we are
Project Air is a specialised brief intervention program within Gold Coast Health’s Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) that enhances treatment options for young people aged 12 to 25 years old presenting in the context of psychosocial crisis with emotion dysregulation.
What we do
We provide targeted treatment for patients with complex mental health needs, including those experiencing self-harm and psychosocial crisis with emotional dysregulation. Our approach includes Gold Card clinics and other evidence-based interventions, available in both community and inpatient settings.
Who can access this service
This service is for young people aged 12 to 25 years old who are frequently presenting to emergency departments and inpatient services in the context of psychosocial crisis with emotional dysregulation.
How to access this service
Referrals can be made through CYMHS community or inpatient services, or via the Acute Care Team for adults. Patients must be actively engaged with a CYMHS treating team.
