The Child and Youth Mental Health Consultation Liaison Psychiatry (CLP) service offers specialised mental health services to children and young people within hospital and paediatric outpatient settings.
What we do
Our team collaborates closely with the treating medical and allied health staff to support the mental and emotional well-being of hospitalised children and young people. We focus on those experiencing significant mental health challenges or distress related to their medical conditions, providing crucial secondary consultation as needed.
Who can access this service
This service is available to young people under 18 years old, either admitted to Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital, or the Paediatric Outpatients Department, and who also have complex mental health needs.
How to access this service
Referrals to the CLP service are completed by the young person’s treating medical team through the CYMHS Access Team.
