The Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce is a lived experience team providing a responsive program of recovery-oriented peer work, education and information for consumers, carers and families.
The team’s goal is to increase consumer, carer and family participation in the planning, delivery and evaluation of mental health services.
Members of the team include:
- Team Leader
Operationally responsible for the Lived Experience Peer Workforce.
- Senior Peer Coordinator
Promotes and facilitates consumer participation and supervises the peer worker team.
- Senior Carer Peer Coordinator
Promotes and facilitates carer and family participation and supervises the carer peer worker team.
- Peer Workers
Provide non-clinical peer connection and engagement to consumers.
- Carer Peer Workers
Provide non-clinical peer connection and engagement to family and carers.
- Peer Assistants
Provide peer connection and engagement, interaction and companionship to in-patients.
- Consumer and Carer Representatives
Represent the voices of consumers and carers.
