Tugun Satellite Hospital is open!

The Tugun Satellite Hospital opened its doors to its first patients on 15 November, bringing healthcare closer to home for those living on the southern end of the Gold Coast. 

The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic is the first stage to open at the facility and can be accessed for walk-in care such for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The clinic will also provide medical imaging and diagnostic services, including x-ray and pathology.


Going above and beyond to raise smiles for little Indigo

It is said that every cloud has a silver lining. 
For the family of adorable Indigo, that dark grey cloud was learning of her T-Cell Lymphoma diagnosis, aged just 15 months, and the lengthy chemotherapy battle that lay ahead.

FEISTY II: Blood clot treatments for patients with severe bleeding compared in new phase of clinical trial

The Fibrinogen Early In Severe Trauma Study II, known as FEISTY II has begun at Gold Coast Health.

FEISTY II represents a vital step forward in the quest for improved trauma care and builds on the success of FEISTY I. The study has garnered international attention for its efforts to optimise use of blood products in severely bleeding trauma patients.


Sistas Shawl provides comfort and connection

First Nations women will be gifted a Sistas Shawl when attending a BreastScreen Queensland Gold Coast Service clinic as part of a partnership to increase screening in the community.
