The Tugun Satellite Hospital opened its doors to its first patients on 15 November, bringing healthcare closer to home for those living on the southern end of the Gold Coast. 

The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic is the first stage to open at the facility and can be accessed for walk-in care such for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The clinic will also provide medical imaging and diagnostic services, including x-ray and pathology.

Representatives proudly took to the stage at the annual Trauma Conference in Melbourne recently to receive the Level-One Trauma Hospital certification from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).
