Tugun Satellite Hospital Community Open Day

Join us at the Tugun Satellite Hospital Community Open Day on 10 November 2023 10am–2pm.

This event is an opportunity for community members to be part of the official opening of the facility and to familiarise themselves with its services prior to opening to patients on 15 November.

Activities will be both informative and fun, with guided tours, community stalls, food and coffee trucks, the Medibank Bike N Blend smoothie station, novelty games, and various free entertainment options.

Register to attend here.

Located at 57 Boyd Street, Tugun, the facility is a significant addition to Gold Coast Health’s infrastructure, supporting the Emergency Departments at both Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina.

The Tugun Satellite Hospital’s opening will be staged, starting with a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic, which will provide walk-in healthcare for patients with urgent non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

It will be free for Medicare cardholders and will operate from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week. Patients should be aware that in life-threatening health care emergencies, they should always dial Triple Zero (000) or visit the nearest emergency department. They can also call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) for health advice, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We encourage everyone to attend, understand the services, and be part of the celebration of the opening of this new facility.
