New immunisation clinic for northern Gold Coast families

The Coomera Springs clinic is being piloted for six months

Gold Coast Health is partnering with the Benevolent Society to give more children the opportunity for greater protection against life-threatening vaccine-preventable diseases.

A free immunisation clinic for children aged from six weeks to five years will be held on the second Thursday of the month at Coomera Springs Early Years Centre from 9am–11am.

The dates are: 10 January; 14 February; 14 March; 11 April; 9 May; 13 June.

No appointment is required – simply turn up with your Medicare card, child’s vaccination record or personal health record.

The Coomera Springs clinic is being piloted for six months as part of a targeted campaign to lift the city’s childhood immunisation rates to 95 per cent, announced by Health Minister Steven Miles last year.

The clinic is in addition to Gold Coast Public Health Unit’s regular clinics at Helensvale, Upper Coomera, Southport, Robina, Carrara and Burleigh.
Coomera Springs Early Years Centre is on Old Coach Rd, Upper Coomera (second driveway on the left after Coomera Springs State School).
