On 28 September Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) celebrated 10 years of caring for the Gold Coast community.
Besides being three times bigger than the old hospital, GCUH has also brought life-saving services to the Gold Coast, providing improved access to specialist care for the community.
Over the last decade, GCUH seen over 1.45million emergency department presentations and birthed over 54,000 babies!
In that time the facility has also been designated as a level 1 Trauma Centre and continued to grow and expand its services to meet the needs of the community, including the introduction of stem-cell transplants, cardiothoracic surgery, and maternal fetal medicine, to name a few.
