Pharmacy

Our Pharmacy service is an important part of our healthcare team, dedicated to your care and treatment. All pharmacy staff deliver services promoting the safe and effective use of medicines.

How we help patients

We provide medication to inpatients, outpatients and day admitted patients at facilities across the Gold Coast Health Service. Our pharmacists will work with you and your medical team to make sure you are getting the right medicines. They will:

  • Check your medication history
  • Talk with you about your medicines and make sure you understand what each medicine does and how to take it
  • Provide any prescribed medicine
  • Review your medicines to make sure they’re right for you and safe to take together.

Read more about your medicines when coming to hospital.

Repeat Prescriptions

You can collect your repeats from any of the three pharmacies. To order, email the relevant pharmacy and provide:

  • Full name and date of birth
  • UR number if known.
  • Medication required.
  • Collection date, time, and location
  • Contact number should we need to contact you.

Due to manufacturing and short expiry dates, not all medicines can be collected from all locations. You may be directed to collect from a specific pharmacy. Where this is not the case, you can collect from any of the three pharmacies listed above.

Paying for medicines

If you are an outpatient, or need medicines when you leave hospital, you will need to pay for your medication. The amount charged will depend on your Medicare eligibility and Government applied exemptions. Speak to your pharmacist to find out more.

You will be given an invoice with your medicine or it will be posted to your home address. If you are collecting medicines from Tugun pharmacy, you will need to make your payment on-line to the Robina pharmacy.

Payments can be made at the Pharmacy at the time of collection, by cash or credit card, or online using Bpoint.

Online Payment
To pay your invoice online, you will need the invoice number, located on the invoice you received. You also need to provide your name, phone contact and payment amount.
