Immunology Unit is to provide excellent patient focused care for a variety of patients including all Infectious Diseases and Rheumatology patients, patients requiring negative pressure isolation, and any patient with confirmed C.difficile infection.

The Immunology Unit works in partnership with the Infection Control Service to provide continuing improvement in the quality of care offered to all patients via health care workers and between patients.

It is intended that Immunology or other patients requiring negative pressure isolation in times of air borne pandemics will be transferred to the GCUH Immunology Unit for assessment and stabilisation.
