The General Medicine Unit (GMU) provides care to general medicine and acute care patients presenting to Emergency and elderly patients.

B5 South is a 24 bed unit. The unit has:

• 16 single rooms
• 3 double rooms
• 3 work stations
• 1 clean utility room
• 2 dirty utility rooms
• 4 offices
• 2 storage rooms
• 1 treatment room.
