Accessing Care

Head to Health Phone Service

The Head to Health phone service offers a free, confidential and friendly referral service for people (not in crisis) seeking support for mental and emotional wellbeing.

Anyone including children, young people, older adults, families and carers, can call the Head to Health phone service on 1800 595 212 from 8.30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. When you call simply give your postcode and you’ll be transferred to a locally based mental health clinician who will talk with you. They will connect you with the right support, which may include a local community mental health or specialist mental health service.

New referrals to CYMHS

You may refer your family member or the young person you care for by contacting 1300 MH CALL (1300 642 255). From here a clinician will make phone contact to ask you some questions to ensure the right service for your young person’s needs.

If you are a general practitioner use Refer Your Patient website
