Our recruitment process
While the process may vary depending on the role, most positions follow these key stages:
1. Find and apply for a role
We advertise our job opportunities across a range of platforms, including Queensland Health Careers and other relevant channels.
Each advertisement includes:
- Role description and responsibilities
- Key requirements and qualifications
- Contact details for further information.

2. Application review and shortlisting
Once applications close, our hiring teams carefully review all submissions.
- Shortlisting typically occurs within one to three weeks
- Candidates are assessed based on their skills, experience and suitability for the role.
3. Assessment and selection
If shortlisted, you may be invited to participate in further selection activities, such as:
- Assessments (in person or virtual)
- Options may include, Interviews, Work Samples, Practical Demonstrations, Role Play and Presentations
- These steps help us understand your experience, capabilities and alignment with the role.
4. Outcome and communication
We aim to keep all candidates informed throughout the process:
- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted within one to three weeks after applications close
- All applicants will be notified of the outcome at the end of the recruitment process.
5. Pre-employment checks
If you are successful, your offer will be subject to completing pre-employment requirements.
These may include:
- Criminal history checks
- Health assessments
- Qualification and registration checks
- Reference checks
- VPD.
This stage typically takes one to four weeks, depending on the role.

6. Offer of employment
If successful, you will receive a formal offer outlining:
- Your role and responsibilities
- Employment conditions
- Start date and onboarding details.
