Child and Youth Mental Health Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service (13 to 18 years)

Who we are

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service (AMYOS) provides flexible and assertive mental health care to young people aged 13 to 18 years of age who are experiencing severe and/or complex mental health challenges and require an intensive approach.

What we do

We work with young people, their families and other agencies or professionals (with consent) to assist young people to recover from the most serious mental health challenges. Care is provided in settings the young person can attend and feel comfortable, such as their home, school or elsewhere in the community.

Mental health care may include:

  • mental health assessments
  • individual therapy
  • family therapy
  • Medication

We may suggest other CYMHS programs or non-government agencies that could also assist.
