Child Safe Organisation

As a child safe organisation, Gold Coast Health is committed to providing welcoming, safe and accessible environments where all children and young people feel valued, are listened to and are genuinely considered and involved in decisions that affect their lives.

All children have the right to be safe from harm, everywhere, anytime. The safety and well-being of children is Gold Coast Health’s highest priority.  The universal principle embedded across all the child safe standards ensures that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are culturally safe at Gold Coast Health.  Aligning with our commitment to delivering the best care we are committed to creating a child safe environment for all children and young people who interact with our services.

Child Safe Standards

Child safe standards are embedded within Gold Coast Health’s Code of Conduct, which clearly articulates expected standards of behaviour for all stakeholders associated with Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
