Measles Alert for Gold Coast

Gold Coast Public Health Unit (GCPHU) is urging people to monitor for symptoms after a confirmed case of measles attended a Gold Coast event while unknowingly infectious.

Anyone who visited the Sea World ‘Spooky Nights’ event (including the exit gift shop) on Friday 24 October between 6:30pm – 9pm may have been exposed to the virus.

While this location does not pose an ongoing risk, people who attended this location should be on the lookout for signs and symptoms up to and including Tuesday 11 November.

Gold Coast Public Health Unit (GCPHU) has issued an alert following a confirmed case of measles who was unknowingly infectious while visiting locations on the Gold Coast.  

The person recently returned from overseas where it’s understood they contracted the infection. 

People in the following locations may have been exposed to the virus and should monitor for symptoms up to and including Saturday 25 October:

Measles Alert for Gold Coast

Gold Coast Public Health Unit (GCPHU) is reminding residents of the importance of vaccination following a confirmed case of measles on the Gold Coast.

A measles alert has been issued after an adult recently returned from Bali where it’s understood they contracted the infection.

The case was unknowingly infectious while visiting the following locations:   

• Robina Hospital, Emergency Department on Thursday 18 September between 6:40am and 7:30am and between 5:30pm and 6:30pm

• Chempro, Palm Beach (Gold Coast Highway) on Tuesday 16 September
