Mental Health Allied Health:

Our Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs services employ a diverse range of allied health professionals. Allied health professionals are autonomous, university qualified practitioners who work alongside other health professionals such as psychiatrists and nurses. An integral part of modern mental healthcare, allied health professionals, employ an internationally recognised body of knowledge and interventions to restore and maintain optimal physical, sensory, psychological, cognitive, social and cultural function. Working with individuals, families and carers, and other mental health care agencies, allied health professionals offer a range of interventions such as diagnostic and technical assessments, therapy (individual and group), and other direct health services tailored to support specific mental health care needs.  

The team is located at Palm Beach but works across multiple campuses including Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals, Southport and Robina Health Precincts and Palm Beach Community Health Centre.

Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce:

The Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce is a lived experience team that provides a responsive program of recovery-oriented peer work, education and information for consumers, carers and families. 

The team’s goal is to increase consumer, carer and family participation in the planning, delivery and evaluation of mental health services. Read more about the Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce.

Our recruitment timeline
  • After the job add closes, the hiring manager reviews each application thoroughly. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within one to two weeks. 
  • Assessment Process: If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to participate in an assessment tailored to the role.
  • This may include: 
    • Behavioural-Based Interviews: Share your experiences and how they align with our company values. 
    • Work Samples and Presentations: Demonstrate your skills and approach to real-world scenarios. 
    • Skills Demonstrations and Assessments: Showcase your technical abilities and problem-solving skills. 
    • Group Activities: Engage in exercises that highlight teamwork and collaboration. 
    • Notification: Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email at the end of the recruitment process.
Pre-employment checks

Candidates who are assessed as suitable, will undergo pre-employment checks, including reference checks, criminal history check and qualification verification. You will be required to submit certified mandatory pre-employment paperwork through our online portal zipline. This process typically takes between one to four weeks. 

The offer

Once all pre-employment requirements are met, successful candidates will receive a verbal offer, followed by a formal Letter of Offer.
