Gold Coast University Hospital provides specialist maternity services to support women and families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
Our maternity services include:
- Pregnancy care through outpatient clinics and community-based services
- A Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit for women with complex or high-risk pregnancies
- Birthing suites and a Birth Centre, including access to water immersion and water birth for eligible women
- Inpatient care during pregnancy when required, and postnatal care following birth
- A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Neonatal Special Care Nursery for premature or unwell babies
We offer a range of maternity care options based on your individual needs, preferences and pregnancy care requirements. These include:
- Private midwifery care
- Obstetrician-led care
- Continuity of care through the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP)
