Multiple Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) community teams have relocated.
Gold Coast Heath’s Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) is opening to children, young people and families at a new, purpose-built facility located within the Proxima Building at the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct from 25 February 2026.
From this date, all CYMHS services previously delivered at the Southport Health Precinct will cease. Please click on the relevant service links below to view updated location details.
CYMHS community teams providing Gold Coast–wide care will continue to operate across multiple locations, including the new Proxima facility, the Robina Health Precinct and the Head to Health Kids site in Nerang, depending on what best meets the needs of the child or young person.
This relocation is funded through the Mental Health Levy, enabling CYMHS to expand models of care, increase capacity and improve access.
Our early intervention or other specialist Child and Youth Mental Health Service programs may be offered for children or young people who have more specific mental health needs.

CYMHS Proxima is a new space designed for young people and families
The new 1,400 square-metre CYMHS facility has been created to feel calm, welcoming and supportive for children, adolescents and young adults up to 25 years of age.
The environment was designed in collaboration with clinicians, architects and young people with lived experience to ensure it feels safe, comfortable and easy to navigate.
The interior design draws on familiar places across the Gold Coast – the coastline, river and hinterland.
These calming colours and natural textures help the space feel grounding, warm and connected to the community it serves.
