Medical Assessment Unit

This unit provides rapid assessment of internal medical patients presenting to the Emergency department by the General Internal Medical team.

Early discharge is facilitated for suitable patients and rapid referral to appropriate specialists occurs where inpatient subspecialty internal medical care is required.
