Home Care and Allied Health Service (HCAAHS)

Gold Coast Health’s Home Care and Allied Health Service is a community-based service that delivers a range of services to clients to enable them to remain living independently in their own homes, for as long as possible.

The service is available for clients over 65 years of age or over 50 for those that identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

The Service, funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, offers assistance with basic domestic services, occupational therapy, hysiotherapy, social support, respite care and personal care. Services are provided individually at home or in a community-based setting, and also for groups in group exercise, education and social support sessions.

A social support group – The STAR group, is offered at both the Helensvale and Palm Beach Community Health Centre as part of the Service.
The Home Care and Allied Health Service is supported by My Aged Care (MAC) and referrals for services can be made by contacting MAC, www.myagedcare.gov.au or 1800 200 422.
