Children’s Inpatient Unit

There is a Children’s inpatient unit with 36 beds on Ground Floor B block.

There is single, two-bed and four-bed rooms. Each room has space for a parent to sleep beside their child.

An Education Queensland school room is open during school terms. Here teachers and teacher aides support children with learning.

Radio Lollipop plays music and programs in the evenings which is run by local volunteers. There is a Ronald McDonald family area in the ward. Parents and carers can take a break there while staying close to their child.

The area has a washing machine, showers and internet access.

The Clown Doctors and Captain Starlight visit the ward each week.
