The cancer and Blood disorders inpatient unit is in the east wing of level 1, C block at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The unit has 28 bed and provides care for people receiving treatment for cancer, as well as support for managing side effect related to treatment.
Care is provided by a team of health professionals. The health care team include specialist cancer nurses and nursing staff, oncologists, haematologists, as well as pharmacists, and allied health professions such as social workers, physiotherapist, occupational therapists and speech therapists. The team work together to support patients and their families through treatment, recovery and their overall wellbeing.
Visting hours are from 08:30am to 08:30pm.
Please note that fresh flowers and potted plants are not permitted due to special considerations.
