Your treatment may not be complete when you’re discharged. You may need to continue treatment when you get home. You may also need some home support services or follow up specialist or clinic appointments.
Discharge times
Discharge times can vary between wards and hospitals. We try to discharge patients in the morning, but sometimes it’s not possible. We’ll give you an approximate discharge time to help you arrange transport from the hospital.
Queensland Health is inviting patients to participate in an online survey about their experience with the care they received in Gold Coast Health’s hospitals, and asking parents/carers of young patients about their experience with their child’s hospital care. These are known as Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs), and Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).
A selection of patients will receive an invitation to take part in the survey two days after they or their child leaves the hospital. If you are selected, a link to the online survey will be sent in a text message (SMS) to the mobile phone number listed in your hospital record.
