ArtBeat 2026 is Gold Coast Health’s annual celebration of the creativity and talents of mental health consumers, running from 6–30 October 2026 as part of Queensland Mental Health Week.
The event includes a Visual Art Exhibition at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital from 6 October, and the ArtBeat Festival at the Gold Coast University Hospital rear parklands from 11am–2pm on Friday 9 October 2026.
ArtBeat showcases consumer-created artwork and performances, providing a platform for creativity, self-expression and mental health awareness. The event helps reduce stigma by sharing lived experiences through art, while creating opportunities for connection, celebration and community conversations about mental health. Participants spend months preparing their works with support from Mental Health and Specialty Services creative therapists, with many finding the creative process supports their recovery, purpose and wellbeing.
