Useful Management Information
- The Early Intervention Parenting Service (EIPS) are a team of Social Workers and Psychologists who specialise in providing individual and group programs for parents of children under 6 years of age.
- Individual sessions provide short to medium term therapeutic support to families, through 1:1 appointment’s, in-person, at a Community Centre, home or via video telehealth.
- Parents/ carers can seek support to enhance:
- parent-child relationship/attachment
- caregiving challenges
- ability to understand and respond to challenging child behaviours,
- adjustment to parenthood
- postnatal depression
- coping with anxiety and stress
- parenting confidence
- birth trauma
- infant mental health
- The Early Intervention and Parenting clinicians also run group programs, which providean opportunity to meet other parents and carers, while strengthening parenting skills and wellbeing.
- A referral is required for any 1-1 consultations with an Early Intervention and Parenting clinician.

- Relevant health history/ including birth and post-partum details, current and previous
- Psychosocial history current and previous (i.e. parent/ carer health history, including mental health, domestic family violence, substance use)
- Other stakeholder support (i.e. GP, NDIS, NGO, PNMH, Child Safety)
