The Queensland Statewide Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology Service provides a full range of elective gynaecology services for children and young people aged between 8 and 18.

  • Congenital surgical problems and mullerian anomalies requiring surgery for correction
  • Menstrual management and suppression for disabled and special needs children
  • Gynaecological and obstetric management if born with complex congenital conditions such as bladder exstrophy and cloacal repairs
  • Disorders of sexual development (DSD)
  • Endocrine disorders impacting on menstruation
  • Primary and secondary amenorrhoea
  • Menstrual management for girls with complex medical conditions such as metabolic and gastroenterological conditions, and patients from oncology and rehabilitation.
  • Surgical vaginal reconstruction and vaginal dilatation.
