Tugun Satellite Hospital services will include:

• Minor Injury and Illness Clinic
• Day Medical
• Kidney Dialysis
• Outpatient – Renal / Allied health
• Outpatient – Women and Newborn

The Tugun Satellite Hospital’s opening will be staged, starting with a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic, which will provide walk-in healthcare for patients with non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses who are not able to see their regular GP. It will not replace the continuity of care provided by GPs.

It will be free for Medicare cardholders and will operate from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week. Patients should be aware that in life-threatening health care emergencies, they should always dial Triple Zero (000) or visit the nearest emergency department. Another option is to call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) for health advice, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A range of appointment-based healthcare services are planned to come online during 2024, including fluid infusions, minor procedures and in-centre haemodialysis treatment.

There will also be a range of outpatient services including multi-disciplinary kidney services, allied health services including podiatry, physiotherapy, nutrition, social work, psychology and neuropsychology and midwifery services for women and their newborns.

These services will operate Monday to Friday, 8.00am–5:00pm, and can be accessed using the standard Gold Coast Health referral processes.

We will be hosting a Community Open Day for Tugun Satellite Hospital on 10 November 2023, 10am-2pm prior to the official opening. You are welcome to come along.
