The Tugun Satellite Hospital is on track to achieve practical completion this month, after which the facility will be handed over to the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) for operational commissioning.

With the construction of the Satellite Hospital complete, the team will equip and prepare the facility for patients, including installing digital components throughout September.

To ensure the smooth establishment of the new facility, the opening will take a staged approach with the Minor Injury and Illness Clinic the first cab off the rank and scheduled to open to the public during mid-late November.
