Screening for syphilis in pregnancy is now recommended for all pregnant women at

  • first antenatal visit
  • again at 26-28 weeks
  • again at 36 weeks
  • all high-risk women opportunistically between 16-24 weeks
  • all women at birth who did not have a 36 week screen
