Referrals to the COVID Virtual Ward must be made through Medical Objects to:

QHEALTH GOLD COAST UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL - VIRTUAL WARD
CG4215000A9

This is the only address that will enable the patient to be assessed in a timely manner.

Do not use usual referral channels including our central fax number, general bookings and referrals address or Smart Referrals platform for COVID Virtual Ward referrals.

The latest guidelines and referral template for COVID Virtual Ward referrals are available on the GCHPHN website .

General Outpatient Referrals

Smart Referrals is now the preferred method of making a referral to our outpatient clinics.

Existing referral templates are currently out of date and will be phased out shortly.

For general outpatient appointments, practices not yet using Smart Referrals should send referrals by fax to 5687 4497 or through Medical Objects to:

QHealth Gold Coast Outpatients Outpatient Bookings and Referrals
GQ42150009Z

Please do not email any referrals to Gold Coast Health as this process is no longer supported.

Urgent referrals should always be marked as such so they can be prioritised.

Once you are enabled with Smart Referrals you will receive all advice regarding patient referrals and appointments electronically.

If you have not had Smart Referrals installed, please contact our General Practice Liaison Unit who can assist you with installation and training.
