We know our birthing mums have some extra questions about what their experience may be like during COVID. Gold Coast Health's Director of Obstetrics Benjamin Bopp and our obstetric team have prepared a patient handout for COVID-positive pregnant women here .

Key advice includes:

  • I have tested positive to COVID-19, what now?
  • What happens to pregnant women if they have COVID-19?
  • What are symptoms of COVID-19?
  • How should I monitor my symptoms?
  • What can I take to manage my symptoms at home?
  • Will the Gold Coast Hospital contact me if I have COVID-19?
  • Will I need additional treatment for COVID-19?
  • Concerns regarding the pregnancy
