Essential Referral Information
- Detailed history (if applicable) including:
- Central obesity
- Hypertension
- Osteoporosis
- Muscle weakness
- Diabetes mellitus
- Emotional lability
- ELFTs
- Glucose
- 24-hour urine free cortisol and/or, 1mg overnight dexamethasone suppression test
If a specific test result cannot be obtained due to access, financial, religious, cultural or consent reasons a clinical override may be requested. This reason must be clearly articulated in the body of the referral.
Additional Referral Information
- If confirmed hypercortisolism and ACTH is suppressed, then CT adrenal
- Mid-night salivary cortisol
