To support our commitment, Gold Coast Health provides a range of funding initiatives. This assists eligible staff to engage in research and professional development activities, aimed to advance the delivery of optimal health care to the Gold Coast community.
Available for Gold Coast Health employees to engage in research activities in partnership with academic partners on National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Partnership Grants, Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage grants or other initiatives where our health service is a partner institution.
*The amount awarded is dependent on the requirements of our organisation as a partner to a successfully funded external grant that matches the funding contribution as part of the Study, Education, Research Trust Account (SERTA) scheme.

Eligible Gold Coast Health employees are entitled to one ‘approved’ application per year to a maximum of $1,000 towards registration for attendance at conferences, workshops or short courses. Applicants invited to deliver an oral presentation (10 mins or more) at a conference will be entitled to a maximum of $5,000 to assist with costs of travel (where applicable).
The amount awarded is part of the Study, Education, Research Trust Account (SERTA) scheme.

Eligible Gold Coast Health employees as first or last senior author, may apply for funding support for peer-reviewed open access journal publications. Eligible employees are entitled to one approved application per financial year to a maximum of $5,000.
