Literature searches and search consultations

Whether for patient-related, service management, education, research, or study questions, our Librarians can provide GCH staff with high-quality search results or in-depth consultations in relation to literature searching.

From structuring your research question to conducting a systematic search of the literature across multiple databases, we can help you develop the tools to perform a comprehensive literature search and effectively manage your results.

Training and education

We offer individual, small group, large group, and orientation training - both in-person and online. We cover all aspects of working with literature and knowledge resources; from getting started using the library and CKN resources, to conducting a comprehensive search for a systematic review and working with EndNote. Training can be tailored to the needs of your department.

Printing

Printing and photocopying services are available at our libraries. Cost per side is 10 cents for greyscale and 50 cents for colour. Payments are accepted via cash or mobile. 

Workstations and study spaces

We provide open spaces for study and collaboration, as well as small self-booking study rooms at GCUH and Robina.  ​

Library access

We welcome all Gold Coast Health staff, conjoint appointments, visiting medical officers and students on placement.

• 24/7 swipe card access to GCUH and Robina Hospital libraries.
• Library staff available 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.  
• Not open to the public.

We encourage you to use our library space and private study rooms at Robina and GCUH for learning, research, small group work, and quiet downtime.
